TEHRAN – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Friday that providing support for Syria is Iran and Russia’s “common policy”.

Tehran and Moscow will continue supporting Syria in the fight against terrorism, he added.

He said, “The terrorists have not been allowed to overthrow the political system and Syria’s legitimate president and turn Syria to a new Libya.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he stated that Tehran, Moscow and Beijing support long-lasting stability and security in the Mideast region.
